Smyer Student Council creates Wall of Honor for service men and women
Smyer Student Council is working diligently to create a Wall of Honor for Smyer graduates who are currently serving or who have served in the armed forces.  If someone is interested in having a loved one honored, please submit a picture (no larger than 5X7), rank, branch of service, and years served.  Pictures in any type of uniform or in action is preferred, but not required.  All pictures can be returned, but the council would like to keep the Wall of Honor up for many years and continue to add to it, so if you would like your picture returned please note on submitted picture.  Pictures can be dropped off at the front office, submitted digitally to Belinda Maye at, or mailed to:

It is time for Smyer Junior Basketball signups
It is time to sign up for Smyer Junior Basketball for grades 3-6.  All forms must be returned by Monday, January 26.  There will be a sign up meeting on Thursday, January 29 at 6:30 in the school cafeteria.  Cost to play is $25 for first child and $20 for additional children.

Lady Cats and Bobcats add one more win to district record
The Lady Cats and Bobcats only played one district game last week.  Both teams defeated Sundown to add district wins to their records.  The Lady Cats are 7-2 in district play.  The Bobcats are 6-0 in district play.  Both teams also added wins against non-district foe Lockney last Friday.  Coming up this week, the JH & 9th teams will start the week off on Monday.  The JH Lady Cats and Bobcats will travel to Seagraves, and the JH Blue and 9th Bobcats will take on Lubbock Christian at home.  On Tuesday the HS teams will travel back to Seagraves for their match-ups.  Then on Friday the HS teams will face Sudan at home.

Pictures from Website can now be Purchased
Due to the large number of requests, pictures from the website slideshows can now be purchased.  Use the link above to view the slideshows.  The pictures will be printed $2 for a 4X6, $5 for a 5X7, and $7.50 for an 8X10.  The proceeds go to The Pride, Smyer yearbook.  Please allow up to two weeks for delivery.  No pictures will be sent via email, only printed pictures.  Click on the link to the left to submit a request.  Orders will not be processed until payment is received.  Make checks out to Smyer ISD.  Return money to Mrs. Maye in the high school or mail in payment to:
